The short version
Bounded Focus is an iOS app that helps you block distracting apps using Apple Screen Time. We store as little personal data as possible. App selection data never leaves your device, it stays inside your Apple Screen Time vault. We do collect basic account information so you can sign in, sync between devices and manage your subscription.
Who we are
Dedaldev d.o.o. ("we", "us") is the operator of Bounded Focus. Registered in Belgrade, Serbia. Contact: info@dedaldev.com.
What we collect
- Account, email address and Firebase user ID once you sign in with Apple or Google. We do not see your password.
- Device, push notification token (FCM), iOS version, device model and app version. Used only to send notifications you opted into.
- Subscription, purchase, renewal and cancellation events from Apple, relayed by RevenueCat. We never see your payment method.
- Usage, basic events like onboarding completion, paywall views, block session start and end. Aggregated for product improvements.
- Crash reports, anonymous stack traces if the app crashes (Firebase Crashlytics, planned).
What we DO NOT collect
- Which specific apps or websites you block. Apple Screen Time keeps that selection inside your device sandbox; we receive an opaque token only.
- The content of any blocked app (messages, photos, browsing history, we have no access).
- Your contacts, calendar, photos or location.
How we use your data
- To sign you in and let you restore your subscription across devices.
- To deliver app notifications you asked for (block reminders, schedule alerts).
- To honor subscription renewals via RevenueCat.
- To debug crashes and improve reliability.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with these processors:
- Firebase (Google LLC), authentication, push messaging, optional analytics and crash reports.
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), subscription bookkeeping.
- Apple, App Store and Sign In with Apple.
- Laravel Forge / DigitalOcean, our backend hosting (Frankfurt).
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Data retention
Account data is kept until you delete your account from Settings, Delete account. Once deleted, your record is removed from our database immediately, and from third party processors within the timeframes their own policies define.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data. Email info@dedaldev.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Bounded Focus is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify subscribed users via in app message.
